One of the things I love about working with TED is so many different people with various skills and drastically different knowledge base come together to deliver wonderful content and perspective to people who want to be involved. The audience at a TED event is always enthusiastic, they listen and take in all you have to offer, from a fellow attendee to speaker, everyone can participate in storytelling.
While working at SAP Concur I had the opportunity to work with the TEDxSeattle team again to help them produce a regional event in conjunction with TEDWomens event in New Orleans. These types of viewing parties happen all over the country in time with another TEDx event, in this case it was the TEDxSeattle team hosting a TEDWomens event in Bellevue. Incredible local women speakers take a smaller more intimate stage, then sit with their audience as they all experience the live cast of the Keynotes at the main TEDWomens event. It's a wonderful engagement opportunity for everyone!
The great part about this event for me working in the non traditional TED branding, of TEDWomens. It's strong, elegant and just a bit more peaceful than the bold trademark Black and Red. While I didn't assist the speakers with their presentation design, what I did was weave them all together under the TEDWomens branding. I helped the TEDxSeattle team leverage the event space to the fullest by designing branded digital agendas for the displays in the lobby of the event as well as put together a looping walkin deck for the main stage.
